7cb1d79195 With all the recent remakes of horror movies lately why not continue that trend in the shot-on-video department? Tales From The Grave is such a case. Four "chilling" tales of "terror" that remakes, errr, rips off Tales From The Crypt. They even have their own version of the Crypt Keeper - hidden in the dark because they didn't have enough money for a puppet I assume. Anyway, this wit-lacking crappy crypt-keeper introduces us to the first tale about two boys planning to scare some local nut case living in the woods. Before you can say "Blair Witch Project" we get some awfully bad ghetto-style "rap" music with white "hood" boyz playing basketball. Hilarious. Tale two tells the story of Joe Estevez facing his fears in a cabin (?). It's basically a re-telling of "Evil Dead" and "Evil Dead 2" minus suspense, atmosphere, special effects and what not. However, if you listen closely you'll hear the sound of wind that suppose blowing outside the cabin. I guess I don't have to point out that Joe Estevez is no Bruce Campbell and Stephanie Beaton, no matter how lovely she might be, is not Sam Raimi. Mr. Estevez fighting an orange did tickle my funny bone though. Tale three is about people trapped in some sort of house that's suppose to be a maze ("Cube", anyone?) and the final story, which is no doubt the best one, only runs about 5 minutes. So much for originality.<br/><br/>As crappy as this anthology might be I'd still recommend checking out if you get a kick out of unintentional humor. I was amused at times but bored as well. An unsatisfying blend, that. The beautiful Stephanie Beaton steps behind the camera to direct this nifty little anthology, that is personally, waaaaay better than Tales From The Crypt. My favorite segments in this film would be The Wrath of Hercaylac, and The Billywack. Both were very chilling. The Wrath of Hercaylac was just downright weird. Stephanie, herself stars in this one with the great Joe Estevez. Stephanie played Hercaylac and was just beautiful in that black dress of hers. The Billywack was awesome because it didn't really show the creature. That made it more unsettling. I loved the music in The Billywack, but I love industrial rock music. There are 2 other stories in the anthology, but I didn't like them as much. But hey, check the film out! It's great and Stephanie Beaton does a great job as a director! 8/10.
I don't usually prefer to watch the mix of horror and science fiction. Because it will always end up in a boring climax. cabernet sauvignon brands But Tales From The Grave is something different from all the other movies and I liked it.
This is a superb one to watch. I have watched the film recently and liked enjoyed each and every scene from the movie. The director has done terrifically well by Tech Sariga Music Club using the artists to absolute perfection. I am sure that this will be a hit on the theatres.
